5 killed in Launch-steamer collision

At least five people were killed and 10 injured as a launch hit a steamer in Kirtonkhola river of Barisal on Monday morning.

The deceased identity could not be known immediately.

According to source, Barisal-bound steamer PS Masud collided with Dhaka-bound launch Shurovi 7 around collided in Charbaria area, leaving five people dead.

Seriously injured ten people were also recued and they have been sent to hospital.
