Couple found hanging in Chattogram

Police on Friday night recovered the bodies of a young man and his wife from their house in Rangunia upazila of Chattogram district.

The couple - Iskander, 28, and Ruma, 22 - were residents of Kurmaikul area under Lalanagar Union Parishad. 

Rangunia Circle assistant superintendent of police Anwar Hossain Shamim confirmed the matter to Jago News.

He said police recovered the bodies of a young man and his wife from Lalanagar Union area on Friday night and sent these to Chattogram Medical College Hospital morgue.

It could not be confirmed whether the death was a suicide case, he added. 

Local sources said Iskander, an expatriate in Qatar, returned home on Tuesday, and on Friday night he along with his wife was found hanging.
