Female colleague files rape case against SP Mokter

A female police inspector has filed a case against her colleague superintendent of police (SP) Mokter Hossain for allegedly raping her.

The victim lodged the case with Dhaka 7th Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal.

Later, Judge Kamrunnar recorded her statement and asked Uttara East Police Station to file her complaint as a case.

The Prosecutor of the tribunal, Afroza Farhana Orange, confirmed the matter.

In her complaint, the victim said SP Mokter raped her during a UN peacekeeping mission in Sudan’s Darfur in 2019.

Besides, he subsequently violated her on several occasions promising to marry her, she alleged.
