16 die at MMCH in 24 hours

Sixteen people including a seven-month-old baby died at the Corona unit of Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital (MMCH) in the last 24 hours. Seven of them died from the disease and the rest nine died with its symptoms. 

The deceased were identified as Feroza, 60, Rahima Khatun, 65, Mojida Begum, 90, Minati Ranee Das, 65, Yakub Ali, 50, Julekha Begum, 70, Sultan, 55, Sufia, 45, Kamal, 45, Mujibur Rahman, 45, Nabila, 25, Sudha, 67, Abdur Rahim, 75, Bilkis, 35, Sakhina, 55 and seven-month-old baby Ishrat.

Dr Mohiuddin Khan Mun, Focal Person of the MMCH, confirmed the deaths to Jago News on Thursday morning. 

He said, 429 patients are currently receiving treatments at the Corona unit of the hospital. 52 people were admitted to the hospital and 44 were discharged.
