Lockdown relaxed; everything opens on Aug 11
The government has relaxed the strict coronavirus lockdown from August 11, letting almost everything open following the health guidelines.
The Cabinet Division issued a gazette notification in this regard on Sunday.
The notification said public transports will ply with full passenger capacity during the relaxation but the number of buses on the road will be half compared to that of the usual period.
Shopping malls and markets, and public-private offices will remain open.
In continuation of previous restrictions, tourist spots, resorts, community centers, and recreational places will, however, remain shut.
Earlier, the government imposed a one-week lockdown from July 1 in a bid to curb the spread of the coronavirus, and later, it was extended for another.
After relaxation for eight days ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha, a strict lockdown was announced from July 23 to August 5, and the same was prolonged to August 10.
