Faridpur road accidents kill 3
Three people were killed and three others injured in three separate road accidents in Madhukhali, Boalmari, and Nagarkanda upazilas of Faridpur district on Sunday.
In Madhukhali, a speeding truck ran over a teenage boy in Boalia area around 3:30pm when he was going to Madhukhali Bazar on a van to sell pepper.
Deceased Jalil Sheikh, 18, was the son of Munnaf Sheikh, a resident of Amurdi village in the upazila, and the HSC first-year student at Ayesha-Sami General College.
Madhukhali Police Station officer in-charge Shahidul Islam confirmed the incident.
In Boalmari, a truck rammed into a motorcycle at Baikhir intersection on Majhkandi-Bhatiapara road around 1pm, leaving the biker dead on the spot and two other ones injured.
Dead Sourav Das, 28, son of Haripad Das of Rupapat village in the upazila, and by profession, he was a rice trader.
Confirming the matter, Boalmari Police Station sub-inspector Mamunur Rashid said they seized the bus.
In Nagarkanda, a bus of 'Tungipara Express' hit a motorcycle in Joybangla area on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway around 9:30am, leaving the biker dead on the spot and another one injured.
The deceased was identified as Kabirul Islam, 32, son of Ekram Ali, from Sahebahar village in Sadar upazila of Bagerhat district, said Bhanga Police Station officer in-charge Md Omar Faruk.
