Three die as private car plunges into ditch

Three people were killed as a private car plunged into a roadside ditch in Gazaria upazila of Munshiganj early Thursday.

The deceased were Nayan, 35, driver of the private car, Liza, 25, and Zara, 16. Police were trying to know the full identities of the deceased.

Bhaberchar Highway Police Outpost sub-inspector Shakib Hasan told Jago News that they primarily assume the Dhaka-bound private car from Cumilla fell into a ditch in Alipura area off the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway early today as its driver lost control over steering.

Later, the fire service personnel rushed to the spot and recovered three bodies, he added.
