3 of a family electrocuted in Lalmonirhat

A woman and her two children were electrocuted in Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat on Saturday.

The deceased are Parul Begum, wife of Andul Gofur, her son Rana Miah, 10, and daughter Ritu Moni, 3.

Police said, Rana was electrocuted when he went to catch fish into a Beel at Dolgram village with his friend Sohel. Hearing the news, Rana’s mother went to the spot with her daughter to rescue Rana. But they also were electrocuted and died on the spot.

Officer-in-charge of Kaliganj Police Station, Sazzad Hossain said, they recovered the dead body from the spot.
