14 die at RMCH’s Corona unit

Fourteen people died at the Corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) in the last 24 hours. Of them, nine were men and five were women.

Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani, Director of RMCH, confirmed the deaths to Jago News on Saturday morning. 

He said, the fourteen people died at different wards of the Corona unit from 8am on Friday to 8am on Saturday. Six of them died of Coronavirus and eight died with its symptoms. Their ages are between 35 and 65 years. 

Of the deceased, seven were from Rajshahi, four from Natore and one each from Pabna, Joypurhat and Chuadanga, he said.

In the last 24 hours, 60 people were admitted at the Corona unit and 11 were discharged. Currently, 207 Corona patient and 315 with its symptoms are receiving treatment at the hospital, he added.
