1102 held in Dhaka on 7th day of strict lockdown

As many as 1102 people were arrested in the capital on Wednesday for breaching restrictions on the seventh day of strict lockdown. 

Besides, 245 people were fined around Tk 1,71,980 through the mobile courts. 

Iftekharul Islam, the additional deputy commissioner of media and public relations division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, told this Jago News this evening.

He also said 804 vehicles that went outside unnecessarily during the lockdown were sued and fined about Tk 18,68,500.

The government, however, imposed a strict lockdown across the country for a week starting from July 1 to contain the alarming rise of coronavirus.
