618 held in Dhaka on 4th day of strict lockdown

As many as 618 people were arrested in the capital on Sunday for breaching restrictions on the fourth day of strict lockdown. 

Besides, 161 people were fined around Tk 54,450 through the mobile courts. 

Iftekharul Islam, the additional deputy commissioner of media and public relations division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, told this Jago News this evening.

He also said 496 vehicles that went outside unnecessarily during the lockdown were sued and fined about Tk 12,81,000.

The government, however, imposed a strict lockdown across the country for a week starting from Thursday to contain the current spread of coronavirus.
