Motorcyclist killed in Barishal road mishap

A motorcyclist was killed in a road mishap in Babuganj upazila of Barishal district on Saturday morning.

Deceased Harun Khan, 25, was the son of Akkel Ali Khan, a resident of East Narayanpur village in Wazirpur upazila.

Quoting the witnesses, Barishal Airport Police Station officer in-charge Kamalesh Chandra Halder said Harun fell into a pond in Rahmatpur Bazar adjacent area around 7:30am when he lost control over his motorcycle.

The pedestrians rescued him and took him to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital, Barishal where he died around 9:30am, he added.

Family members said Harun, a driver by profession for a company in Dhaka, left the capital for home on Friday night. On the following morning, police informed them that he met a road accident.
