Coronavirus in Khulna: 22 more die in 24 hours

The death toll from COVID-19 in Khulna division has reached 797 as 22 more people died from the disease in the last 24 hours.

Besides, 615 more tested positive for the virus, raising the number of such cases to 44,269.

Rasheda Sultana, Director of Divisional Health Directorate, confirmed the information to Jago News on Saturday noon.  

Of the deceased, seven are from Kushtia, three from Khulna, four from Satkhira, three from Jashore, two from Chuadanga, two from Meherpur and one from Jhenaidah, she said. 

However, 34,126 people have been cured from the disease so far, she added.  

Earlier on Thursday, eighteen people died from COVID-19 in the ten districts of Khulna division. Later on Friday eight people died of the disease.
