S M Shafiuddin made new Army chief

Lieutenant General S M Shafiuddin Ahmed has been appointed the new chief of the Bangladesh Army.
He will replace incumbent chief General Aziz Ahmed on June 24, the Ministry of Defence said in a handout on Thursday.
He will lead the force for the next three years, the handout said.
