Lockdown in Satkhira extended for another week

The local administration in Satkhira has extended the ongoing lockdown for seven more days to June 17 as the coronavirus situation did not improve.

The decision was taken in an emergency meeting of the district coronavirus infection prevention committee held at the conference room of the district administration on Thursday.

All kinds of public transport, shopping malls, and markets will remain shut during the prolonged period, too.

But the shops of daily commodities will stay open from 9am to 12 noon.
