Youth strangulated to death in Jhenaidah

The miscreants strangulated a young man to death in Kaliganj upazila of Jhenaidah district on Sunday morning.

Deceased Shaheen, 28, was the son of Chan Mia, a resident of Baliadanga Bottala Para in the upazila.

Local UP member Anwar Hossain said the locals noticed Shaheen's body in a banana garden in Baliadanga Palpara area around 8am and informed police.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy, he said.

Kaliganj Police Station officer in-charge Mahfuzur Rahman said they primarily assume that the man was beaten and strangulated to death.

What was the reason behind the death or who killed him, all can be known after investigation, he said.
