Two women crushed under train

Two women were crushed under the wheels of train in Gazipur city on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Morsheda Begum, 30, wife of Abdul Motaleb, a resident of Kalakanda area under Dewanganj Police Station in Jamalpur, and Sazeda Akter, 50, wife of Helal Uddin, of West Pulia area in Sadar upazila of Gaibandha. They lived in rented houses in Salna Tekibari area.

Kamalapur Railway Police Station, Dhaka officer in-charge Md Mazharul Haque said the women were crushed under the wheels of a train of 'Nilsagar Express' in Salna Tekibari area on the Dhaka-Rajshahi Railway when they were collecting mangoes fell from trees beside the rail track during rain.

Being informed, police recovered the bodies and sent these to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue, he said.
