Ongoing restrictions extended till June 6
The government has extended the ongoing restrictions till June 6 to stop current spread of Coronavirus.
Cabinet Division issued a gazette notification in this regard on Sunday.
The restriction was extended from May 30 midnight to June 6, according to the Cabinet Division.
However, the Epidemiology and Public Health Committee of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has recommended for imposing lockdown in seven bordering districts due to the increase in COVID-19 infection.
The districts are - Natore, Naogaon, Rajshahi, Khulna, Kushtia, Satkhira and Jashore.
The government issued the lockdown across the country on April 5. The lockdown time has been extended in phases.
To be noted, Bangladesh reported 38 deaths from Coronavirus and 1,043 cases on Sunday.
