Babunagari’s press secretary arrested

Inamul Hasan Faroki, press secretary of Hefazat-e-Islam convener Junaid Babunagari, was arrested from Foteyabad in Hathazari upazila of Chattogram on Friday night.

RAB-7 commander Lt. Col. Mashiur Rahman confirmed the arrest on Saturday noon. 

He said, Faroki was arrested over violence in Hathazari. He will be handed over to Hathazari Police Station after interrogation.

Faroki was accused in the murder case of former Hefazat Ameer Allama Shah Ahmed Shafi. He was also accused in another case filed over vandalism and arson attack. 

To be noted, police filed ten cases with Hathazari Police Station against 148 people including Babunagari over the violence during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bangladesh visit.
