Road accident kills woman, daughter-in-law

A woman and her daughter-in-law were killed in a road accident in Gazipur city on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased were Mohima Khatun, 50, a resident of Salna Tekibari area in the city, and her son's wife Fatema Khatun, 23.
Basan Metro Police Station officer in-charge Kamrul Faruk said a bus rammed into a battery-run auto-rickshaw in Teknagarpara area on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway around 3pm, leaving its passengers - the two women - dead on the spot, and the vehicle driver hurt.
The injured was sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital, he added.
