A court in Dhaka on Tuesday barred Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir from traveling abroad in a case where he was accused of abetting the suicide of a young woman.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahidul Islam passed the order after police sought his court impose a travel ban on Anvir.

Earlier on Monday night, police recovered the hanging body of Mosarat Zaha Munia, 21, a student of Class XII, from a flat at Gulshan in the capital.

On the night, Munia's elder sister Nusrat Zahan filed a case with Gulshan Police Station accusing Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir of abetting the suicide of her sister.
