3 SC lawyers arrested for funding militants

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested three lawyers of the Supreme Court (SC), including a woman, on charge of financing armed militant group Sahed Hamza Brigade (SHB) from Dhanmondi area of the city early Wednesday.

The arrestees were identified as Barrister Shakila Farzana, daughter of former BNP whip Syed Wahidul Alam, and her two assistants Advocate Liton and Advocate Papon.

They were taken to Chittagong and details of the arrest will be informed at a press briefing later, the CO added.
