CJ receives 2nd dose of coronavirus vaccine

Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain and his wife received their second doses of coronavirus vaccine at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital in the capital on Thursday morning.

Supreme Court (SC) spokesman and special officer Barrister Mohammad Saifur Rahman confirmed the matter to Jago News.

Earlier on February 7, CJ Syed Mahmud Hossain and his wife took their first doses of the vaccine.

Bangladesh on January 27 began coronavirus vaccination programme, and launched the same nationwide on February 7.

The country on Wednesday (April 7) reported the highest daily cases of 7,626, bringing the total number to 6,59,278.

The country first recorded its COVID-19 cases on March 8 last year. Since then it has been struggling to curb spread of the highly contagious virus.
