Probir Sikdar granted bail

A Faridpur court on Wednesday granted bail to journalist Probir Sikdar in a case filed under the Information and Communication Technology (amendment) Act 2013 after he was placed on a three-day remand by the same court the day before.

Judge of Cognisance Court-1 of Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court, Faridpur M Hamidul Islam passed the order in the morning.

Earlier, the same court on Tuesday put Probir Sikdar on a three-day remand on a petition filed by police seeking a 10-day remand for him in the case.
