Life imprisonment means jail term for entire life: Chief Justice

Chief Justice SK Sinha said there appears to be some confusion over the meaning of the term life imprisonment, and has clarified it by saying that it means imprisonment until death.

The chief justice made the remark during a visit to Kashimpur Jail in Gazipur on Sunday.

He also said the masterminds behind all murders should be brought to book.

The chief justice was given a guard of honour at the prison, and then inspected parts of the jail and talked to prisoners.
