Gazipur MP hospitalized with Covid-19 infection

Simen Hussain Rimi, a Awami League lawmaker from Gazipur-4, was admitted to a hospital in capital Dhaka with coronavirus infection on Tuesday afternoon.

"She (Rimi) was admitted to United Hospital after oxygen level in her blood decreased a little bit," said her husband Mostaque Hossain.

Rimi, daughter of the Bangladesh's first Prime Minister Tajuddin Ahmad, tested positive for coronavirus on Friday, and since then she had been self-isolated at home, he said.

However, the lawmaker's two sons and daughter-in-laws also contracted the virus, Mostaque added.
