3 punished for scalping train tickets at Kamalapur station
A mobile court in Dhaka on Sunday sentenced two men to seven days’ jail and fined another Tk5,000 for selling train tickets on the black market at Kamalapur railway station.
Members of Rapid Action Battalion arrested Rana Miah, 20, Afzal Hossain alias Sentu, 38, and Mohammad Sohel, 29 from the station from 8:00am to 8:30am while they were found scalping train tickets.
Later they were produced before a mobile court, led by Executive Magistrate Firoj Ahmed, who awarded Rana and Afzal seven days’ jail and fined Sohel Tk5,000, said ASP Aminul Islam, company commander of RAB-3.
