Janakantha Editor Masud dies

Veteran journalist and the Daily Janakantha Editor Mohammad Atikullah Khan Masud has passed away. He was 71.

He died on the way to Evercare Hospital in the capital after he felt respiratory problems around 5:30am on Monday. 

Obaidul Kabir, Chief Reporter and Deputy Editor of the daily, confirmed the death to Jago News around 8:30am.

However, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Masud.

The premier prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
