Anti-drug drives: 51 arrested in capital
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in separate anti-drug drives arrested fifty-one people from different parts of the capital.
The drives were conducted from Friday evening to Saturday morning.
Iftekharul Islam, Deputy Commissioner of Media and Public Relations Department of the DMP, confirmed the matter to Jago News.
He said, 13,518 pieces of yaba tablets, 384 grams of heroin, 6.77 kilograms of ganja and 107 bottles phensedyl were recovered from their possession.
“37 cases have been filed against them under the Narcotics Control Act,” he said.
