Indian Foreign Minister reaches Dhaka

Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar arrived in Dhaka around 10am today.

Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen welcome the Indian minister at the Bangabandhu Airforce Base in the capital.

During the visit, Jaishankar will hold bilateral talks with Dr Momen and also call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

He is in Bangladesh to prepare the groundwork for the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 26-27.

Bangladesh is set to celebrate the 50th anniversary of independence and 50 years of Bangladesh-India diplomatic relations this year.
