Drug peddlers held in city

Members of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested two alleged drug peddlers along with 50000 pieces of Yaba tablet from Khilkhet area in the city early Friday.

The arrestees were identified as Bokhter Alam and Nur Alam alias Titu.

Counter Terrorism sources said tipped off, a team of Counter Terrorism Unit, conducted a drive in the area and arrested them in the early hours of Friday.

The specialized anti-crime team also recovered 50000 pieces of Yaba tablet from their possession.

A case was filed with Khilkhet Police Station in this connection.
