AL leader beaten to death in Chattogram

A local leader of Awami League (AL) was beaten to death by some unidentified miscreants at Toiarpara area in Satkania of Chattogram in the wee hours of Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Md Jahed, 22, General Secretary of Khagria union 4 No. ward AL.
Anwar Hossen, officer-in-charge of Satkania Police Station, said Belal was injured in an attack by some unidentified miscreants on Wednesday night. Later, he was sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctor declared him dead around 1am.
A man was arrested in this connection, the OC added.
