Police charge batons on BNP men in Dhaka
Police today charged batons on the leaders and activists of BNP at their protest programme in front of the National Press Club in Dhaka.
BNP organized the programme there protesting the government decision on revoking the ‘Bir Uttam’ title of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman.
Some BNP men were injured during this time, said the member of the party’s International Affairs Committee Ishraq Hossain.
According to the witnesses, BNP men are gathering in front of the press club since the morning. Their programme started at noon. At one stage, they were making a noise. Later, the police charged batons on them and foiled their programme.
