Police arrest Ron Haque Sikder upon his arrival home

Police have arrested Sikder Group's Managing Director Ron Haque Sikder upon his arrival home.

A team of police's detective branch nabed him around 10am on Friday soon after he landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

Iftekharul Islam, additional commissioner (media and public relations) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, confirmed the matter.

Later, he was shown arrested in a case filed against him and his brother Dipu Haque Sikder on May 19 last year for allegedly attempting to kill EXIM Bank's two officials, including its managing director.

Following the case filing, Ron and Dipu fled Bangladesh and flew to Thailand.
