Protests in Pabna against Al-Jazeera report

Pabna district Awami League and its associate bodies have staged demonstration protesting against the conspiratorial campaign by Qatar based television Al Jazeera against Bangladesh and its premier Sheikh Hasina.

A protest procession was brought out from the district AL party office on Wednesday afternoon that ended with a rally in front of the office after parading main road of the town.

At the rally, the speakers termed the Al-Jazeera report titled "All the Prime Minister’s Men” false, fabricated and ill intended, and saw it a deep conspiracy against the country. 

They said Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and war criminals' collaborators and so called journalist David Bergman without any specific evidence labelled the Bangladesh government and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as corrupt.

Efforts is on to demean the government before the world by the brokers like David Bergman to grab state power, they alleged, adding that the grass root Awami League leaders will never allow this conspiracy to succeed. 

The speakers also demanded the government sue Al-Jazeera before the International Court of Justice if the news channel apologizes for spreading falsehood.
