2 killed in Naogaon road mishap

Two people were killed on Wednesday as a passengers bus knocked down a CNG run auto-rickshaw in Ranipukur upazila of Naogaon district.

The deceased was identified as Liton, son of Wazed Ali, hailing from Pathkhata village in Naogaon sadar upazila and Anamul Haque, hailing from Shibgonj upazila in Bogra.

Saber Reza, officer-in-charge of Mohadebpur Police Station said the accident took place when the Rajshahi-bound passengers bus hit a auto-rickshaw in the Ranipukur area around 12.30pm, leaving auto rickshaw driver Liton dead on the spot.

The injured passengers Mahfuj and Enamul were admitted to Naogaon Sadar Hospital for better treatment.

Later, Enamul died at the hospital.
