Palak, 124 others receive COVID vaccines at BSMMU

A total of 125 people including State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak have received coronavirus vaccines at Bangabandhu Conference Centre of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).  

BSMMU Vice Chancellor Dr. Kanak Kanti Barua inaugurated the vaccination program there at 9:10am and also got vaccinated. 

State Minister for ICT Division received vaccine at 10:40am. Later, Health Service Division Secretary Md Abdul Mannan and Information Secretary Khaja Miah were given vaccines at 11am. 

Apart from, three Pro-Vice Chancellors of BSMMU - Professor Dr Rafiqul Alam (administration) Shahana Akter (education), Professor Dr Jahid Hossen (research), Treasurer of the university Md Atikur Rahman and hospital Director Brig. Gen. Zulfiqer Ahmed Amin also got vaccinated.  

In this connection, BSMMU Public Relations Officer Prashanta Kumar Majumder at 11am told Jago News that so far 125 people were vaccinated.  

Earlier on Wednesday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the vaccination programme from her official residence Ganabhaban virtually.
