Advance train ticket sale starts

Bangladesh Railway has begun selling advance train tickets for the home-bound people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The ticket sale started at Kamalapur railway station in the city on Wednesday around 8.00am.

During a spot visit, the Jagonews reporter found several hundred people waiting in long lines for collecting tickets for the Eid journey on July 1.

The ticket selling will continue until 4pm of the day without any break.

The tickets for July 2 will be sold on June 23, tickets for July 3 on June 24, tickets for July 4 on June 25 and tickets for July 5 will be available at Dhaka and Chittagong stations on June 26, according to railway official sources.
