Lionel Messi put on a show for his fans in the United States with a remarkable free kick against the U.S. national team in the Copa America semifinals.
In the process, the Argentine superstar scored his record 55th goal for his nation, breaking the previous mark held by Gabriel Batistuta.
The team captain hit the sensational free kick off the underside of the crossbar in the 32nd minute, leaving goalkeeper Brad Guzan helpless.
The goal put Argentina 2-0 ahead in the contest after Ezequiel Lavezzi opened the scoring inside three minutes, with Barcelona star Messi creating the goal.
