Army disowns recruitment advertisement in foreign media

Bangladesh army on Tuesday disowned a recent recruitment advertisement published in a foreign website and feared that it could have done by some quarters with an ulterior motive.

‘ISPR (Inter Service Public Relations) Directorate does not disseminate any advertisement in any foreign print or electronic media,’ said an ISPR statement referring to the published advertisementhttp://www.karmakshetra.org/, Link: www.karmashetra.org/bd-army-sainik-recrutment on 21 June.

It said some quarters could have published the ad in a foreign website with an evil motive as ISPR gets such announcements published in Bangladeshi print media in Bangla language alone, reports news agency.

The statement said the so-called ad in the said website provided some information about the salary scales in the military which too was ‘entirely baseless’.

‘Bangladesh military does not provide any information about the salary scales in recruitment related advertisements,’ it said.
