Sale of advance train tickets for Eid from tomorrow

The railways will start selling tickets in advance, starting June 22, for passengers on their way home for Eid-ul-Fitr.

The advance tickets will be sold from 8:00am at Dhaka and Chittagong stations under special arrangements with the supervision of BR officials.

All preparations have already been taken to this end, officials said.

The tickets of 1 July will be sold tomorrow (22 June) while the tickets of 2 July on 23 June, tickets of 3 July on 24 June, tickets of 4 July on 25 June and the tickets of 5 July on 26 June.

One person will be allowed to buy maximum four tickets and no sold out ticket will be taken back.

Meanwhile, the advance bus tickets for home-goers are being sold from bus counters at Gabtali, Sayedabad, Mohakhali, Kalyanpur, Fakirapul, Rajarbagh and other areas in Dhaka.
