Even though the winter is welcomed by the privileged wealthy people by colorful pashminas and festive moods, it brings a lot of sufferings to the low income people in Bangladesh.

Quite sadly, many low income people in Bangladesh cannot afford to buy warm clothes for winter. In this scenario, women and children especially suffer more. For this reason, as every year, this year Youth Hub, a Malaysia based organization of the Bangladeshi expariates, is distributing winter clothes and new blankets among the low income families in different districts of Bangladesh.

They have already distributed clothes in Mymensingh, Dinajpur, and Thakurgaon districts. They have planed to reach more areas in north-western part of Bangladesh. Due to the COVID-19, they are distributing the same door to door.

During this pandemic, Youth Hub is running a project named TRIKONOMITI. The project was initiated right at the dawn of coronavirus, when quarantine and shutdown restrictions were suddenly introduced in the country, making it hard for low-income women to take care of their menstrual health.

As of this month, volunteers of the organisation have distributed more than 4,000 sanitary pads at different locations in the Bangladesh.
