PEC exam repeal from this year: Minister

The government has decided to repeal Primary Education Completion (PEC) examinations from this year.

Primary and Mass Education minister Mostafizur Rahman on Tuesday made the statement while addressing a press conference at the secretariat.

He said, ‘Primary Education Completion (PEC) examinations will not be taken place as the government extended primary education level up to class eight from five.’

But, Junior School Certificate (JSC) examinations will be continued as usual, the minister added.
