Lawyers walk out of court demanding judge's removal

A section of the lawyers walked out of the court of Dhaka's Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Asaduzzaman Noor on Wednesday morning demanding his removal for harassing one of their fellow lawyer.

After walking out, they started demonstration in front of the gate of CMM court.

It was learned that lawyer Mohammad Rubel Ahmed moved to the court of ACMM Asaduzzaman Noor to file a case on Tuesday morning.

He asked bench-clerk when court activities will start, and the latter replied 10:30am. He again asked him about exact time as the court did not begin at 11am too.

After arriving in court, judge Noor told the lawyer, "You tried to create chaos. So, I won't hear your case now, rather you come later."

Not only this, the judge also confined him on dock for around two hours by police.

During this, the judge threatened him to cancel his lawyer certificate and ask all magistrates not to hear his case.
