Child Samiul murder: Mother, her lover get death

A Dhaka court has sentenced Ayesha Humayra Esha and her lover Shamsuzzaman Arif alias Bakku in a case filed over the killing of her five-year-old Samiul Azim Wafi.

Judge Sheikh Nazmul Alam of Dhaka’s Special Judge Court-4 passed the order on Sunday. 

The court also issued an arrest warrant against them as they are absconding. 

Samiul, a student of play group of Green Wood International School in Nabboddya Housing under Adabor Police Station, was killed by his mother Esha and her lover Shamsuzzaman on June 23, 2010.

Later, Samiul’s father KR Azim lodged the case with Adabar police station accusing his wife Esha and Shamsuzzaman.

On October 25, 2012, Officer-in-Charge of Adabar police station Kazi Shahin Haque submitted the charge sheet.
