Fugitive murder convict held in Magura

Police in a drive arrested a fugitive murder convict in a murder case from Bilnathur village under Shripur upazila in Magura on Sunday.

The arrestee was identified as Nazrul Islam, 40, son of Badiar Rahman, a resident of the village.

Tipped-off, a police team conducted a drive in village and arrested Nazrul at night, said Rezaul Islam, Officer-in-charge of Shripur Police Station.

Police said Nazrul was convicted and sentenced to nine years’ imprisonment in a murder case.
