Drug peddler held with 700 Yaba pills in Jessore

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested an alleged drug peddler in possession of 700 pieces of Yaba tablet from Setai village of Sharsha upazila in Jessore district on Sunday night.

The arrestee was identified as Fazlu Goldar, 40, son of Amir Ali Goldar, a resident of the village.

Major Abdullah AL Mehedi, commander of Rab-6, said tipped off , a team of the elite force conducted a drive in the village and arrested Fazlu.

The law enforcers also recovered 700 pieces of Yaba tablet from his possession.

A case was filed with Sharsha Police Station in this connection.
