Truck kills 2 in Tangail

A truck drive and his associate were killed when another truck hit them on Dhaka-Tangail highway at Satiachora area of the Mirzapur upazila in Tangail on Sunday morning.

The deceased are Shafiqul Islam, 40 and his helper Sohel, 22.

According to police, a Tangail bound truck from Dhaka crippled when it’s arrived on Dhaka-Tangail highway. Later truck driver and his associate tried to repair it. At one stage another speedy truck hit them and they were died on the spot.

Hearing the news, Mirzapur Gorai Highway Police recovered two dead bodies after removing two trucks from the road.

Sub Inspector of the police station Bablu Sheikh confirmed the matter.
