1.32 lakh Yaba pills seized in Teknaf

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Coast Guard in a separate drives recovered 1, 32000 pieces of Yaba tablet worth of tk 4.60 corers from Jailardip area in Taknaf upazila of Cox’z Bazar district on Saturday morning.

Sources of BGB said tipped off a joint team of BGB and Coast Guard led by Lt. Colonel Abu Zar Al Jahid, Commanding Officer of BGB-2, conducted a drive at Jailardip area around 10am.

Sensing the presence of Para-military forces smugglers fled from the scene and left a bag behind.

Later, BGB men recovered the bag along with 100000 pieces of yaba.

Beside, BGB members recovered 32000 yaba from Chering Khal area of the upazila early in the morning.
