Temple caretaker missing in Jessore

A caretaker of a Hindu temple has been reportedly missing for the last 13 days at Gourighona village in Keshabpur uapzila of Jessore.

Keshabpur police station Officer-in-charge Shahidul Islam Shahid said Pradip Malik, believed to be 48, a caretaker of Swami Bhaskar Ananda Ashram Temple in Kathaltala of the upazila, had gone to Gurighona Bazar on June 4 for buying medicine and did not return since then.

Basudeb Malik, brother of the victim, lodged a general diary with Keshabpur police station on Thursday night.

Pradip’s family is in panic as attacks on the minority community people are now commonplace.
